Our 2019 conference theme is “Rooted in Christ”. It is based
on 1 Corinthians 3:18-19, which reads: “Let no one deceive him-
self. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a
fool, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is
foolishness in God’s sight.”
“Rooted in Christ” is a call to remember the reason we
home educate. Is it a fad? Is it for enhanced academics? Is it
because we fear violence in schools? No, it is more. Indeed, it
must be more. Paul lived in the“age of wisdom”and yet called
such wisdom “foolishness.” Foolishness. Because it lacked the
knowledge of Christ.
When we neglect to teach Christ to our children, we are
teaching nothing more than foolishness. Join us at conference,
Dear Parent, and let us remember our call. For, as we are being
transformed by the renewing of our minds, let us root our chil-
dren in Christ, for in due time, we will reap eternal rewards.
