The 2013 NICHE Conference and Exhibit Hall will be held at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines.

If you've attended our past conferences, you'll know that we've used four facilities in the past four years! We've had to move from First Federated Church to the Polk County Convention Center to HyVee Hall to Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. This year, we'll be using portions of both Community Choice Credit Union and HyVee Hall!
The NICHE Conference Committee is busy working on many details involved in making these venue changes successful. While facing challenges such as food provision and parking, committee members are striving to keep the conference affordable and convenient.
PLEASE NOTE: The conference entrance will be located on the west side of Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. [formerly Vet's Memorial Auditorium]. (Last year, the conference entrance was on the east side.)

Where Do I Park My Car While Attending the 2013 NICHE Conference? Because our conference entrance is on the west side of the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center this year, we can park in any of the available parking lots north of the Convention Center. [Some lots will be for staff only, but many spaces will be open for our attendees.] Enter the Convention Center parking lot from either Third Street, Fifth Street or Crocker Street. Parking fees in the Iowa Events Center lots are $7/day for cars & $25/day for RVs. This fee is charged both Friday and Saturday -- and it is charged every time you enter the lot each day (so you can't leave & come back on the same $7 fee).
There are also over 30,000 parking spaces in downtown Des Moines, including ramps, street-side metered spaces, and lots.
Keep in mind that parking is free in city parking garages on Saturday. Parking metered spaces are available for free parking after 6:00 p.m. on Friday and all day Saturday.

Look for locations near Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center, at 730 Third Street. Possible ramps include the one at 7th & Crocker & at 5th & Grand. If Keck opens flat surface lots (4th & Park), they charge $5 per day.
