NICHE Homeschool Day at the Capitol February 26, 2013
This event is much more than a day to "lobby" ourlegislators! It's an entertaining, educationalexperience for the entire family. NICHE Day at the Capitol provides our Iowa legislators an opportunity to "put a face to homeschooling" by briefly chatting with your friendly family, face-to-face. NICHE provides you with simple training and hand-out materials to make it easy. What an effective means to make a real difference! But that's not all! We've packed the day with lots of fun ways for your whole family to learn more about our state and nation's heritage and history. All of this for an amazingly low registration rate of $15 for your entire family! Make it a family field trip day.
The 2013 NICHE Capitol Day morning session at the Iowa State Capitol Building will include informal training for personal visits with legislators, student achievement displays, Capitol & Judicial Building tours, a proclamation at 10:00 a.m. by Iowa Governor Terry Branstad.
