Homeschoolers can make a difference by putting a "face" on homeschooling for our Iowa legislators and at the same time learn effective strategies from local & national speakers who are staunch supporters of homeschooling freedoms.

NICHE Capitol Day offers a full day of opportunities for Iowa home educators, including interaction with Iowa lawmakers, tours of the Capitol, and special afternoon sessions held off-site at Embassy Suites Hotel. (Just 6 blocks from the Capitol, with free shuttle service options arranged by NICHE.)
Home educating families from across the state will have an opportunity to meet their Iowa legislators, thank them for their service to our state, and give them a packet of information about homeschooling provided by NICHE.
The 2011 NICHE Homeschool Day at the Capitol attracted over 1000 home educating parents and students, our largest attendance ever!
We hope to see another record-breaking attendance in 2012!
Make plans now to attend this exciting event with your entire family!
Registration is required: We are asking everyone this year to register and pay a nominal fee of $15 (which covers the entire family) to help offset some of the costs involved in producing this all-day event. There is a new family-friendly setting for the afternoon activities. If the $15 dollar fee is a hardship for any family, they may contact NICHE and we will try to find families who might be willing to provide a scholarship for this purpose.
